Purgatory project

I find old photographs and drawing and edit them to create a new image and meaning. This project looks at the belief of purgatory, the human soul and how we remember the dead. I love collecting old photos of people as I feel they all have a story to tell and it is sad that they are not with their owner, so I like to give them new life. I find old photographs in charity shops, then I think of what new image I would like to make. I rip, cut, paint, screw up then scan in the image and edit it using Photoshop and Pic Monkey.
